Haven't heard of this before. How loud did you have it turned up? I have had my Kenwood up to 25 and haven't blown my speakers yet.

Interesting..... I haven't blown my stock speakers (08 mega cab) but i can hear them pop sometimes. I have the basic 4 speaker system so I'm not real sure how good the speakers are anyway. I figured I'd have to swap them out when they go... then I'd like to throw in an amp and sub if I can figure out where to put the sub...
The fold down rear seat really doesn't leave much room for a sub. - as far as I can see anyway.

In the first month, i contacted Crutchfield on-line and ordered Alphine 6X9" (front doors) & Boston Acustics 6.5" (rear doors)on my 08 Ram-Hemi. Big differance in sound and the price (low) could not be matched by local big box stores. Install was easy/easy.
