I went to crank up my Ram a few days ago after it had sat for 2 days. The 11 month old battery was door nail dead. So I got an exchange and installed it. I couldn't get it to fire for the longest time. Finally got a cough and figured it wasn't getting fuel. So going against the rules of EFC I pumped the gas and it finally sprang to life...just a little fyi for y'all.

Saw a Nascar driver pumping the pedal trying to get his car re-started. The trick with most all Fuel injections is that holding the peddle to the floor clears flooding condition. If someone has other information pls post up.

Sounds to me like you need to add a capacitor to your system. Changing the battery may not solve your problem. Where in round rock are you. I live off 3406 and sunrise?

Your going to need a cap for the stereo I run a yellow top optima and my truck would dim out during a good note.

As for the pumping the gas wot does put the truck into a clear flood mode turning off the Injectors only issue with this if there is enough fuel at the right point the cylinders will fire and rev up quick sometimes when I start my truck warm I have to go part throttle to increase the inj pulse with a little to get her fired but I partially blame that issue on the fact that its stroked and the cam I run

I would start off by doing the Big Three!
Definition: the "Big Three" upgrade means improving the current capacity of three cables: 1) alternator positive to battery positive, 2) battery negative to chassis, and 3) engine ground to chassis. Some people replace the factory wiring; others add additional cables to the factory wiring.
Having a 300amp alternator isn't going to help if all you have is an 8 ga. wire feeding the battery. If all you are wanting are your lights not to dime, possibly look into a set of good, (not cheap) set of HID's. They're a whole lot brighter then the typical head light bulb, and they won't dime. Mine are way brighter then the Silver Star Ultras I had. Stick with a 4000 to 6000 series for your whitest.
