Good 6x9 Speakers MADE in the USA?

I managed to blow the hell out my front passanger 6x9's so I'm on the prowl for some 6x9 that will sound good connected to the base factory stereo of my 07 Ram QC and, more importantly, MADE IN THE USA.

Even if the company designs it in the US but outsources it to China (like Kicker) I am not interested. I'm looking for a speaker born and raised in USA.

And for those who are curious, it is not because I think USA makes the highest quality speakers, it is because our economy is taking a s**t right now for many reasons, one of which is because we keep buying foreign-made goods. We all know money is power and if we keep buying foreign manufactured and/or made products we're giving hard earned American power away, one dollar at a time.

Thanks for the help in advance!

That's a tough one... finding anything made in USA

Check www.crutchfield.com - they would list where the speakers were made I'm sure.

I can't speak for car speakers but I know JBL products are made in USA primarily. And I always liked the sound of their docking stations/boombox's.

Unfortunately, JBL is now owned by Harman which manufactures everything in China. At least that is what the guy on the phone, who could barely speak English, told me...

I also called Crutchfield and they were unable to find anything that was actually made in the USA

It's too bad that Klipsch doesn't make speakers for cars. My 30 year old speakers are 100% make in the USA.

There home speakers are AWESOME!!

Made in Hope, Arkansas. Don't know if the components might come from somewhere else now though.

I don't know if they make speaker for our trucks but Altec Lansing speakers are made in Oklahoma City. I do not know if they are an American owned company.

I've Googled "Made in USA" speakers, audio equipment, etc. many times. There are companies like Ascend Acoustics, Magnepan, and Orb audio I think that make stuff here. Most companies we heard about in the 70's and 80's that were American made have sold out. The RCA brand is a prime example of how the mighty have fallen, as they are probably the cheapest-made Chinese TVs you can find now (made by TCL). I will report back if I can find USA-made car speakers. I think Kicker was last time I looked?

Following is a list of American manufactured speakers. Whether or not they make a 6" x 9" specifically for our Rams I don't know.

Advent
Altec Lansing
AR (Acoustic Research)
Audax
Belle Klipsch
Bose
Boston Acoustics
Cerwin-Wega
Eosone
Harman Kardon
Heresy II
Infinity
JBL
Jensen
Klipsch
La Scala
NHT
Now Hear This
Phase Linear
Polk
Polk Audio
Realistic

When shopping for American Manufactured products I use a book called "How American Can Buy American" by Roger Simmermaker.
