Err cd?

Hadn't used the CD player in my truck in about 2 years, went to try it yesterday and it wouldn't work. It took the cd and acted like it was going to start but then it will spit it back out and the display says "ERR CD". Tried a different cd, same thing. Tried to blow it out thinking it was dirty from not getting used, nothing. Any ideas?

Well start simple above all else, try cleaning the lens in the player. Can buy cleaning kits from almost any store with an electronics department. You'll see cds with funny little brushes attached to them.

there's an idea, didn't know they made such a thing. I tried using a can of electronics air to blow it out hoping that would solve it lol thanks!
