So ive been running optima yellow top batteries for years. The battery in my truck is four years old. A couple months ago I had to take it to autozone to get it charged. Im guessing the battery is on its way out or somethings drawing power. The truck sits during the week mostly driven on weekends. What battery are you guys running?
If i pick out a new battery should i get something better than oem type?
I look at any repair or part replacement as an oportunity to upgrade. I have a Odessey relocated to the bed. It is a heavy sucker.. but relatively small.
Sears DieHard Platinum Series which is no longer available but was the same as the Odessey with a one year longer warranty - I would buy the Odessey now...
Interstate battery from Costco if you have a membership (and if they're not hiding from the virus under the counter). WAY cheaper and just as effective as the mega-dollar batteries.
Most batteries today are manufactured by Interstate Batteries. They make them to required specifications then affix the sellers label on the batteries.
I always run the Duralast Gold from Autozone. In the hot Florida Sun its worth the extra.
