Amp and Subs in a Mega

I'm stumped. I am looking for the best place to install a sub and amp in the Mega Cab. In my previous vehicle (Avalanche) I had a custom sub box and amp under the rear seat. In the Mega Cab, if I put the amp and sub behind the rear seat I loose the use of the tool boxes. If I attempt an underseat install, the rear seat will not fold forward flat as the seat bottom shifts forward when folded, leaving no clearance for anything. What has anyone else done, any photos? I have already replaced the door speakers and need to add some BASS.

PS... the Avalanche can't hold a candle to my new MegaCab.

do you have the center front seat, or the console?

I am thinking hotbox......or build your own.

I have the quad cab with a bench seat in the front.

Yeah, I have the center seat up front with a console on the floor in front of the seat. What's a "hot box"?

the Hotbox is made by supercrewsound - you can get it here. I assume it fits in a Mega, even though they don't list it for a megacab. It is a replacement for the middle front seat, and you can put 1 sub in it.

Or you can have some fun and build your own?

Mine's not elaborate or even pretty, but it works and it's hidden from view, so what the hell, right? It's a single 10" Kicker Comp with a Jenson 300 watt 2 channel amp. To me, it's just enough bass and kick in the mega cab.

NICE!

I'm planning my install next Friday.
10" RockfordFosgate Sub, Alpine 400-600 RMS Watt Amp.
Still have to buy the Capacitor by Friday.
I can't wait.
I'll post up photos once I'm done. Sticking with the factory deck for now. Need to roll
in stealth mode a little longer.

you're going to need a line level adapter, too. I have a thread in this forum about installing a sub and amp with the stock system. It can be a pain. It was a difficult install, and I've always done my own.
