Alpine IVA-D106 Install Questions

Hey folks! Hope all is well!! Yeah, ol' Sledge is back asking the HTC experts for advice about my next project.

I'm seriously thinking about going for the Alpine DVD receiver (IVA-D106) for my 05 Daytona...Two questions:

Are these DVD receivers difficult to install? Anything I should know about??...any surprises???

..And, how would I bypass the "video Lock-out feature" in order to use the DVD player while the truck is in motion?

....and just a sneaky last question: Has anyone heard anything about this particular Alpine DVD receiver?? (good or bad)

Thanks in advance for your help...and HELLO to all...old friends and new!!!

Alpine IVA-D106 Install Questions

Honestly they are not any harder to install than any other Head Unit.

The lock out feature is more than likely is a wire that make sure your parking brake is set or something along those lines. All you have to do is to ground that wire along with the ground on the wiring harness to the radio. I had a CVA-1000 which was the first of the fold-out units and that was how you bypassed the "lock out feature".

Honestly if I could afford one I would have that unit in my truck right now.
