3rd Gen Big 3 upgrade/connector replacement

Well after a long cold bitter winter here in IA it's finally time to get back to work, which just means money for the truck essentially. This years plans include electrical work and additions to my audio system, since it can be done in the driveway, so what better place to start than the battery. My question isn't so much how to do the upgrade but what those of you that have done it did with the stock wiring and battery terminal connectors. I more than likely will run the new 1/0 wire along side the original since that seems to be common practice. But i would like to replace the existing connectors with the Kicker BT4 connectors. Open to suggestions on the subject or if a connector with digital readout would be a better option. Here's why i am looking to do the upgrade

Existing: Alpine head unit, Alpine 6x9 and 6.5 door speakers and Alpine PDX-f4 4 channel amp

Installing: Alpine PDX-M12 amp, 2 Alpine Type R, flex-a-lit E fan, MSD coils, LED headlights, taillights and interior lights. As of right now any way

Thanks guys/gals!

The kicker terminals are a good idea as they allow a few cables to be hooked up. Main thing is keep that bignwire next to the factory wire and away from and small wires you can this way you don't have crossover or radio whine. It's been awhile since I did the audio thing but man did I have a sick system in my truck at one point.

I would skip the MSD coils unless you got a real deal on them. They haven't proven to be any better than stock..

I was having that problem already with the door speakers so I spent the other day re running the RCAs so that it wouldnt happen any more. I loveAlpone stuff and have put it in every vehicle I've owned at some point or another.

Another question for you guys. Are there 2 different sets of wiring on the 3rd gens? One site I looked on had wire coding that didn't even seem close. The other had the correct colors but said it was for the infinity system but per my build sheet, and just looking around the dash I definitely don't have that upgraded package. Just wondering if there were actually different wires put in other models.

Stereo wiring has 2 different harnesses, 1 w/u connect and 1 without. Color's are different between the 2.

Factory coils are the strongest so far

I use SoS coils, they actually look like oem coils with a sticker on them. Not sure they are still in business.
