Expected out in January, the 2500 Ram Hemi Power Wagon.
On the home page is the Power Wagon press release with more
details. I spied this silver one at the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming
last week. Dodge is a big promoter of rodeo's and Cheyenne is the "Grand
Daddy of Them All."
 The
Warn winch is well tucked away in the bumper and with the Ram grill attached
to the hood makes access to the winch easy.

Retail sticker on the 2005 Power Wagon. It will be good to
have a factory model with front and rear lockers and a 4.56 rear axle ratio.
I'm not sure we're going to get the larger tires promised though. But we'll
know this winter.

If you look close you can see the moon roof. I didn't get
a picture of it, but I saw the aluminum disconnect for the front stabilizer.
Disconnecting the front anti-sway bar will allow the front axle more wheel
travel similar to the rock crawlers.
The rumors I could squeeze from Dodge reps, is the new
larger Hemi 6.1L is scheduled to be in Hemi 2500/3500 trucks in the 2007
model, released September of 2006. Power horsepower and torque ratings won't
be released until GM releases power ratings of the new 454. The new 6.1.L
Hemi is to be mated to a 6-speed automatic tranny from Hino the Korean truck
company.
2007 model year should be another major year for Dodge
trucks with the new 6.7L Cummins diesel out that year meeting the new
stricter diesel emissions laws. |
