Gen 4 hemi swap into a gen 3 ram?

Any way to stuff a newer gen 4 hemi into a gen 3 ram? Any issues? Other parts I might have to change?

Mds,vvt and tone ring are your biggest concerns.

From the research I've done it sounds like the difference in electrical plugs would be the biggest issue but I never thought about the tone ring honestly. I didn't realize that was different

I have been looking at this. A new factory engine will always run smoother (balanced) than than a built up 5.7 Hemi.

485hp + 10psi boost (220hp) = 705hp... HellCat Hemi Ram!

I thought about doing a 6.4 swap too. I did find an article in reference to swapping a 6.4 crank amongst other parts into a 5.7

I just found a 5.7 with 74k miles for 1k that I'm gonna use for now which gives me my original engine to build as a spare or sell...etc

I'm not familiar with crate motors. Are they vvt/mds equipped? Is this a forged motor? Is the ecm sold seperate? Pretty cool setup...

tone ring is 58 tooth for the VVT motors, you can swap the tone wheel for the pre Eagle 32 tooth.
Eagle and Apache intakes have as dual runner system that can be used with a window switch activate the system.
The VVT cam can be locked so you don't have that to worry about.
All of the new Crate engines have the VVT/MDS stuff .
There are a bunch of boosted 6.4s. Scatpakc/LX Forums has a few . OST performance has done a LOT of them.
ICON has pistons that will work with the 3.724 crank and 6.20 rods with a .927 wrist pin , it's about .013 below deck height, but works well with Eagle heads. with pre Eagle heads there is a bit of machining that can get things right.

Just read a little about the crate motors. They come right off the assembly line and are setup for manual trans and no mds. The article lead me to believe these are not forged motors. IMO, these crate motors are a good deal..
But my question is how do you tune the stand alone pcm.. does it come with software?
