New Trans Codes

Ok, tranny acted up again today. last time this happened I was told the trans lost its adaptives. A reset & quick learn put me back in business. Same symptoms today. Here's the codes

0700
0734
advanced trans code 34 & 56

Any clues ?

The P0700 is just a mil to say that there is a stored TCM code. The other says gear ratio error in 4th. It sounds like it usually indicates a variation between the input and output speed sensors. I would recommend checking to make sure that they are reading correctly. Note the input will read half the RPM as the output.
You never made any mention as to if you had felt any slippage while driving. If you lost 4th gear, like I did two weeks ago, and had slipped it enough where the input and output rpm signals varied enough to trigger the P0734 code then it would be time to order some clutches.

I should have actually phrased it that the code does reference a variation in the input/output signals, it just depends on what is causing the variation. With the Red Eagle frictions I'm running, there was no material in the pan and no discoloration or burnt smell with the trans fluid. We literally had the trans out before we figured out the cause. Good luck!

A scanner and a CVI count normally will show you of its clutches that are worn out. That 734 code is deff bad news though.

I did lose OD, but a quick restart brought it right back. The throttle also doesn't respond to input @ times. Restart cures that too.

yeah, the 0734 has me worried too. When the trans took a shiz last year, 0734 was one of the codes. Who is the vendor who is selling the beefed 545s ? Mine has some upgrades, but nothing huge

Is the Sharadon Stage 3 a reliable way to fix this for good ? 1800-2200 every year sucks. I'll pop the 3Gs, but I want to know that I'll be done with this area of the truck

A guarantee, I wish you luck with that on a modified truck. Try reading the Arrington statement on the reliability of a 545RFE...
