Totally new, what do I do, and why.

I have '13 RAM 1500 4x4 Laramie 5.7 8speed. No Mods yet. I would like to get info on what tuner or programmer I should get and why specifically you recommend it. I appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

Most choose the Diablo tuner for current use and for future opportunity to do custom tuning. If you're not planning on any mods then a canned tune from most any tuner that services your application will work.

Long tubes matching Y pipe will wake the truck up a lot. Then the diablo tuner is suggested I personally think they have the best options for now and down the road. I am also a cmr tuner. A canned tune is good but on the 4th gens even a basic custom tune will be better.

Drop the electric supercharger. Nothing but a hair dryer.
Get that Diablo Tuner and you'll be on your way.

I've been reading and see there is basically 3 different types of diablo tuners

Predator 2/ 2 pro
Trinity T1000
Intune i3/ i3 platinum

From what I'm reading, since I want to add some mods, I think my choice should be the i3 platinum. Is that right? Or am I not comprehending their function vs my level of need?

Yes you would want the I3 platinum if you wanted a custom tune or the tunes it has in it will do fairly good for basic stuff.
