Zf8hp70 transmission

Does anyone know where I can find the parts needed to service this transmission? I cannot find the pan filter for it. Any suggestions on what fluids to use in it. 2014 ram 1500 big horn 5.7 hemi

That trans doesn't really have a maint schedule. BMW has been using it for years and they are 100k intervals basically till it craps out. May be able to get exact part number off it and call a BMW dealer possibly

It's got 29000 miles and I already feel a slight jerk from 1st to second. Idk if this is normal or not. My owners manual has nothing about this transmission. I need the transmission pan filter, and info on fluid types and capacity. Thanks for replying.

I seriously wouldn't touch it. They all have some weird software quirk from time to time and it's not the fluid or filter.

No wonder why the new Ram trucks are so expensive now. BMW trans.....

Wonder if you have to go through BMW for your trans warranty?

I'm gonna service it. Ram says not to maintenence,it's a lifetime fill. I know that's bull ****. I wanted to change it bc I know it's broke in now. After I service the transmission this time,I'm gonna wait until 100000 miles. I was thinking amsoil synthetic series. The website says it will work on the 8 speed. I haven't found any dealers with the pan filter avalible. ZF Web site on has information,no product to buy

My warranty was through mopar only. One through allpar I think, could be wrong. But yeah it could be the software. I may get a diablo trinity Turner and see if it helps. It's got software for the transmission.

Do you have any experience with the 8 speed?
