Truck of the Year

"My truck is a 2004 HEMI GTX number 69 of 433 made.  I have always loved the bright colored Mopars (especially the Orange) that I grew up with.  I saw this truck when I was getting an oil change in my new white Ram 1500 Hemi and I just had to have it.  I found the HTC as I was trying to get some information about the GTX and the rest as they say is history.  The truck is no longer a daily driver and I miss driving it every day, but it is much easier to keep clean for the shows.  My favorite mods are Paxton supercharger, 260 cam, Sharadon heads, Dynatech long tubes and 4.56 gears.  HTC is a great bunch of people, I have made many friends here.

“I guess you could say that I am in my third childhood.  First childhood was normal.  Big dreams small pocketbook.  Second childhood, bigger pocketbook, FINALLY was able to buy a 2004 HEMI and fix it up cosmetically. NOW, in my third childhood, a 2007 hemi appeared and like others, I said that I am not going to waste money "modding" this truck.  I made the mistake of adding some stripes over the top.  Well folks, I am like a recovering drunk.  That first mod led to another, to another and I can't seem to stop.  I am definitely addicted.  I have bling under the hood, custom 22" Lexani wheels, big wide tires, headers, custom exhaust system with dual electric cutouts, Dodge Ram Daytona spoiler, Sharadan Stage ll heads with Manley springs and titanium retainers, 6.1 injectors, electric fan, reducer pulley, 456 rear, custom Diablo Tune by Marty of KRC, and on and on and on.  Truck runs great, sounds great, and looks great.  Dyno'd at 350 HP to the rear wheels.  Yet, am I satisfied?  NO.  I have had a roll pan and tailgate relocate kit in my garage to do next and then I want to do the interior.  To reaffirm, I AM AN ADDICT and there is no twelve step program for this addiction...”

“Here's my 05 Daytona #04739 that has been recently freshened up with some body mods and paint. I have a few more exterior mods to do then I am going after the drive train. If all goes well I am planning on putting in a 426 Hemi and performance transmission when she's paid off. I bought her back in 05 new and have been working on the exterior over the past few years. She's a project in the works and I plan on keeping her for a while. She is a high mileage daily driver and has performed quite well. I have been driving Mopars since ‘78 and she's one of my favorites.”

“This is the truck I wanted since the first time I saw one... I had to wait two years before I would get it.  I love this truck and get a lot of comments on it.  I have put replica SRT-10 20" wheels on it, the spoiler on the Mopar cover, LED tail lights, line of fire lights, 2" drop shackles, Katzkin leather seats with the truck number and Rumble Bee logo, custom exhaust, CAI, debadged, and tinted windows.”
