Hella light install by "Dline"
I
drilled 2 holes on center of the lower radiator support cross bar in
front of the radiator and coolers. Make sure that these holes are above
the slots in the front of the cross bar support, which will make
tightening the bolts down for the lights much easier. Next I mounted up
the lights to the new drilled holes.
Now
that the lights are in position, I mounted the supplied relay on the
firewall. Ran the wires from the lights along the cross bar support, up
behind the headlight, and under the lip of the fender, up to the battery
and mounted the relay on the firewall. The wiring instructions Hella
gave me worked well. I hooked up the relay as the instructions Hella
gave me described.
I
tapped into the 12v wiring on the cigarette lighter inside the truck to
get my signal for the switch inside the truck. I ran the wires from the
relay to the switch through an existing rubber grommet in the firewall.
I mounted the switch on the dash on the LH side of the steering wheel.
Then I put wire loom on all the wires so they are protected and this
looks better also.
